I love talking to my friends simply because I love those heart to heart conversations. Not only do you get to know what kind of events your friends have experienced, you can also get to know that person's attitude and philosophies.
Over the weekend, I've been just hanging out with my friends and just talking about different topics like how we're doing at school. Then a friend of mine explained his plan of changing majors. After the conversation, I realized that this friend is really responsible with his studies. He understands that he might not be fit for his current major, so he has planned out another path towards pharmacology; the fact that he can make major decision in life and be confident and mature about shows his friends that he has the capability to take care of himself, and this is why I love talking to my friends so much. Through these conversations, you get to find out what events are happening in your friends' lives and understand the attitude that people carry to get through these events. In addition, having these deep conversations also means that your friends trust you with these information about them. Eventually these deep conversations leads to more trust in the friendship which makes the friendship stronger and stronger.
I love the way friendship works by communication (well, other type of relationships are also based off on communication also). Just the fact that getting to know friends in a deeper level actually draws two friends mentally close amazes me.
